General Duties

Duties may include:

Working one-on-one in-home or in the community:

  • Support participants with activities of daily living

  • Support participants to increase their independence.

  • Support participants to engage in community-based activities.

  • Teach and encourage participants new skills 

  • Assist individuals with personal care, as required.

  • Assist individuals with managing challenging behaviours.

  • Empower participants to live a quality of life

  • Encourage participants to make their own choices and embrace their control

What do you need to be a successful candidate for Feels Like Home:

  • Have prior experience as a Support Worker.

  • Possess of a valid National Police Clearance

  • Hold the appropriate right to work in Australia.

  • Possess a valid QLD driving license.

  • Possess a current Blue/Yellow Card

  • Possess a current First Aid certificate

  • Possess a roadworthy and registered vehicle and be willing to use it for work-related activities

Disability Support Worker

Wage between $32 - $38 per hour 

(Varies depending on experience, skills, certificate/qualifications etc).
